Hidden in my Heart Coloring is a project that started in my prayer journal during a small women's bible study when we were challenged to memorize five verses from the chapter of scripture we were studying. Being a visual learner, I naturally lean towards colors and shapes as learning tools, so I began illustrating the scripture I was reading. That quickly escalated into illustrating many verses, drawing in my bible, and exploring all kinds of uses for the kind of Scripture Art I had begun making, eventually leading to coloring page illustration. Due to the increasing popularity of adult coloring books, I was expecting someone would have already begun doing what I do (illustrating verses with related images), but I was disappointed to realize there was no coloring book out there like this that I could get for myself. With a great amount of encouragement and support from family and friends, (thank you all!) my family and I set out to explore what later became Hidden in my Heart Coloring.

The purpose of Hidden in my Heart Coloring is to provide adults and children of all types with tools to make memorizing and meditating on scripture more accessible and enjoyable. From helpful tips on our blog, to custom page designs for your family or church, we are here to make memorizing fun and interesting! We provide a variety coloring pages with images hand-crafted to either specifically illustrate the meaning behind the verses for meditation, or to add memorable pictures related to each word in the verse for memorization. While spending time on these pages, children and adults alike are spending quality time focusing on each piece the chosen verse and can, with intention, use this time to commit the verse to memory in a way that will make you want to memorize more and more! Likewise, our blog is designed to provide helpful insights into creating images like these for yourself and your family, and hopefully to provide some encouragement as well.
